Andrew Gn's collection- "Andrew Gn: Fashioning Singapore and the World" is now on display at Asian Civilisation Museum in Singapore. Including five sections and about 100 works, this contemporary gallery allows visitors to explore Gn's connection with Asian culture, through the link between Asian and Western art, as well as to celebrate his unique aesthetics, craftmanship, and global impact.

The first room in the contemporary gallery displays most of his work which was worn by famous Hollywood and Asian stars, such as Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Fan Bingbing, Liu Yuxin, and Yang Mi, as well as the dresses worn by Princess Catherine of England. The second room, which is also my favourite room in the museum, displays Gn's latest collection, which represents his Asian root. Most of his works have modern style, but still remain the tradition of Asia via the embroidery patterns on clothes, and Asian patterns like lotus, fans and butterfly strongly represent Asian culture. Moreover, his ready-to-wear creations also do a great contribution in empowering women all over the world, from Asia to Europe and America.

There is Gn's another collection displayed on the first floor, named 74 Rue du Temple Paris, which is inspired by the city of Paris, France. This collection honours Singaporean culture, and with the detailed designing process for a dress displayed, it is considered to be an ideal exhibition for designers to learn about fashion. In this exhibition, there are also machines that use VR technology to help you try on your favourite clothes without touching on the screen. Just by standing in front of the screen and moving your hand, the machine will automatically choose your favourite dress with patterns, let you try it on the screen and also allows you to take a photo of yourself in the dress. This is a must-trying experience when visiting the museum.

The special exhibition "Andrew Gn: Fashioning Singapore and the World" is on display at Special Exhibition Gallery, Level 2, located in Shaw Foyer, Level 2 and at Contemporary Gallery, Level 1 Asian Civilisation Museum from 27 May 2023 to 17 September 2023.
